| Wenchao Zhang joined the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Patent and Trademark Law Office in 2014. He serves as a patent attorney in the Domestic Patent Department, specializing in the electromechanical field, and is responsible for client liaison and account management.
She has accumulated extensive practical experience in patent prosecution, handling a large number of domestic and overseas patent applications for numerous Chinese clients across various technical fields, including new energy batteries, medical devices, refrigeration, construction machinery, and automation control. One of his drafted patent applications was recognized as a "2023 National Typical Exemplary Invention Patent Drafting Case" by the All-China Patent Attorneys Association.
In addition to prosecution work, she is deeply involved in patent mining during the R&D phase of corporate clients and has conducted competitive patent landscaping against rival products. She also provides a broad range of patent-related consulting services, including patent searches, infringement risk assessments, and invalidity analyses. She has represented domestic clients on multiple occasions in Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses and invalidity analyses concerning product structures and designs. Furthermore, she has participated in industry-level intellectual property research projects, such as the power battery patent navigation and early warning project and the global construction machinery manufacturer patent landscaping analysis project. She also contributed to the writing of the Blue Book on Intellectual Property in the Construction Machinery Industry. |
