Dr. Yingkun Brunner possesses extensive expertise and practical experience in both European and Chinese patent law, with particular strength in providing consulting services for clients in the biomedical, life sciences, and chemistry sectors, including patent filing, opposition, appeal, patent validity, and infringement analysis.
Dr. Yingkun Brunner earned her master's degree from the Institute of Genetics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and her doctoral degree from the University of Munich in Germany.
From 1998 to 2004, she worked in the R&D department of a German biotechnology company as a project manager, gaining substantial industrial R&D experience. In 2004, she transitioned to the intellectual property field and began her career at a renowned German patent law firm in Munich. She qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2010 and holds the European Patent Litigation Certificate (EPLC), which qualifies her to represent clients in patent infringement and invalidity proceedings before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
